Jean Marie Michaud

It was in the year of 1910 that Jean Marie Michaud started out on the estate after having left his homeland of the Haut Beaujolais where work was scarce.

This photo shows the harvest of 1910, where some of the family members are breathing in that year’s nectar.
Four years later came the war taking the men away with it. Alain Michaud’s grandmother was left alone with two small children, she took up the reigns of the estate and kept it alive for four very hard years.
The estates that were created at that time owe their survival to the courageous women who didn’t give up.

A few decades later it was Jean Michaud the elder son along with Pierre the younger (Alain’s father) who worked the estate together up to 1973 when Alain Michaud took over.

The forth generation is on its way today with Dorian, Alain’s youngest
son who is studying viticulture and œnology.
